The orange-pink sapphire, is one of the rarest stones found in Sri Lanka. The padparadscha stones get this unusual color by the combination of two minerals; iron and chromium.
Apart from Sri Lanka, padparadscha found Madagascar too. However the Sri Lankan padparadschas have a high demand because of clarity of stones.
